One change that has brought us Firefox 7, is in the URL. Now, http:// is hidden (but https is displayed when you are using).

You can reverse it to make it look as before is extremely easy. We must use the about: config.

Once there, use the filter at the top to locate the property browser.urlbar.trimURLs. When we find it, double click on it and thus change its value to false.

Then, again show http.

If you want the domain name is not highlighted, follow the same steps above but with the property browser.urlbar.formatting.enabled
